Our community is filled with women who have proven themselves to be STRONG, SMART, and BOLD, and we are lucky to have these women as a part of the great cause that is Girls Inc! 100 Women Strong consists of former board members, local girls' advocates, and volunteers within Girls Inc. Women are chosen from the community for their willingness and devotion to providing girls of Shelbyville/Shelby County the resources to follow our mission!
Becoming a member of 100 Women Strong is a great way to meet new people interested in inspiring girls to be strong, smart, and bold! Each member volunteers a minimum of only 12 hours each year and makes a $100 contribution annually to Girls Inc. A commitment to attending the occasional training meeting or luncheon is requested.

the girls inc. mission
Our mission is to provide a safe and positive environment for girls to be inspired to be strong, smart, and bold! We aim to empower girls from 5-18 years old through age-appropriate, research-based educational programming designed to teach girls about economic and media literacy, career and life planning, health and sexuality, math and science, leadership and community, sports and adventure, and more! And we do so regardless of ethnicity, religion, or socio-economic status all in an informal setting. Girls Inc. girls are self-reliant, capable, independent individuals!
