Mini-Grant for Growth

Girls Incorporated was recently awarded a grant in the amount of $10,000 to help in our efforts to serve more girls. These funds are pass-through funds from a federal grant received by Girls Incorporated from the federal appropriation. Girls Inc. will be taking the program "Living Safe and STrong" into Shelbyville Middle School and Triton Middle School. This program will run eight weeks. The program will make girls aware of the resources available in our community, inform girls of the choices they can make in preventing both violence and abuse issues, and give the girls the tools for self defense.
